President of Zinc Developments, Ken Zuckerman, isn’t the type to be spotted at your typical scene or hotel when he travels, whether for business or for pleasure. He scopes out the hippest spots, each of which maintain classy and elegant features, but attract the most creative of spirits.
Of these destinations, The Ludlow Hotel in the Lower East Side of New York City is right up there on his list.
As recently as September 2015, The Ludlow was mentioned in a VOGUE article, “10 Stunning Hotel Fireplaces to Cozy Up To This Fall” as “an oasis from the wild downtown club and bar scene of the area.” It was also deemed by the New York Times as the winner of “neighbourhood feel” and “a smart choice for hip jet-setters looking for an authentic sense of place away from the crowds.” These are only a couple of mentions in the press that sets the vibe of this hotel apart from others.
The Ludlow is also the home of Dirty French, a restaurant and lobby bar that is open for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, dessert, and cocktails. The brunch menu, only recently added, includes (but of course, is not limited to) a Duck hash, Tartine, and the usual eggs for the less adventurous eaters. Not to mention a Benedict dish with a brown butter hollandaise. Don’t mind if we do.
