Design changes lives, and sometimes life changes design. This mural, Space Oditty, whose name was inspired by the late and great David Bowie, is the result of a merging of graffiti artists, graphic designers, and anamorphic techniques.
“Space Oddity” absorbs its architectural canvas of a symmetric corridor and works by changing shape depending on its audience’s point of view. Inspirations for this piece were vast, ranging from obvious geometric and abstract encouragement to influences from more classic eras such as Holbein and Da Vinci’s anamorphic experiments.
Inspiration for design can come from anywhere, and can inspire in different ways, depending on where you’re looking from. The boundaries of design are limitless and at Zinc Developments, we always strive for more.
